Feudalism and Tenancy

I really enjoy the crafty old witch, Judge Judy.

I have actually kept myself out of a few legal battles because information I gathered watching her witty banter. She is sarcastic, but she tells me quite a bit about the law.

This morning, Petunia Pilferloot was complaining about royal mistreatment. I know a thing or two about Feudalism, and although she is the wrong gender to be a "lord", she was still overseeing her domestic land. Petunia was quite upset that she was about to lose her land due to a remark made by her overseer.

Enlightened subjects jumped quickly to Petunia's defense, claiming mistreatment and discrimination. Sue the overseer, cried the crowd. Refuse to  move!

While remarks made by the overseer may not have been politically correct, I dare say Petunia would not have a leg to stand on in a court of law.

See, Petunia has this pesky little case opened by one of the court departments, and she is unable to cohabit with her estranged, else risk the loss of her beautiful babies. Ergo, her estranged is definitely not on the feudal lease.

But Petunia has been letting estranged live on her land, by her own admission. This directly negates her tenant agreement, which is usually grounds for dismissal.

Pentunia, you almost crossed the finish line. Almost.
